डेल्लास येथे झालेल्या या सामन्यात युएसएचा कर्णधार मोनांक पटेल याने नाणेफेक जिंकून प्रथम गोलंदाजीचा निर्णय घेतला. कॅनडाचा सलामीवीर नवनीत धालीवाल (Navneet Dhaliwal) याने 44 चेंडूंमध्ये 61 धावांची शानदार खेळी केली. त्याला दुसऱ्या बाजूने निकोलस कार्टनने 31 चेंडूंमध्ये 51 भावा करत साथ दिली. खालच्या फळीत श्रेयस मोवा याने केवळ 16 चेंडूत 32 धावांचा तडाखा देत संघाला 194 पर्यंत पोहोचवले. युएसएसाठी कोरी ऍंडरसन, हरमीत सिंग व अली खान यांनी प्रत्येकी एक बळी मिळवला.
विजयासाठी मिळालेल्या 195 धावांचा पाठलाग करताना युएसएला टेलर याच्या रूपाने पहिला धक्का बसला. त्यानंतर कर्णधार पटेल 16 धावांचे योगदान देऊन बाद झाला. त्यानंतर चौथ्या क्रमांकावर आलेल्या ऍरॉन जोन्स याने जगाला आपला आक्रमक अंदाज दाखवला. त्याने केवळ 22 चेंडूंमध्ये अर्धशतक पूर्ण केले. ऍंड्रीस गौस याने देखील त्याला तशीच फलंदाजी करत साथ दिली. दोघांनी 89 धावांची भागीदारी करत संघाला विजयाच्या दिशेने नेले. गौस 46 चेंडूंमध्ये 65 धावा करून बाद झाला. जोन्स याने अखेरपर्यंत नाबाद राहत 40 चेंडूंमध्ये 4 चौकार व 10 षटकारांच्या मदतीने नाबाद 94 धावा केल्या. यासह त्याने आपल्या संघाला एक विक्रमी विजय मिळवून दिला. त्याच्या या आक्रमक खेळीसाठी त्याला सामनावीर पुरस्कार देण्यात आला.
