या सामन्यात बांगलादेश संघाला प्रथम फलंदाजीची संधी मिळाली होती. मात्र, नेपाळने भेदक गोलंदाजी करताना त्यांचा डाव केवळ 106 धावांवर संपवला. या डावाच्या 14 व्या षटकात संदीप लामिछाने याने टाकलेला चेंडू तंझीम हसन साकिब याच्या पॅडवर आढळला. नेपाळच्या खेळाडूंनी अपील केल्यानंतर पंचांनी साकिब याला बाद ठरवले. या बदल्यात तंझीम याने डीआरएस घेत तिसऱ्या पंचांकडे दाद मागितली. पंचांनी त्यावर त्याला नाबाद ठरवले.

यादरम्यान मात्र, वादग्रस्त घटना घडली. साकिब याला पंचांनी बाद ठरवल्यानंतर डीआरएस घेण्याआधी नॉन स्ट्रायकर जाकेर अली (Jaker Ali) याने संघाच्या ड्रेसिंग रूमकडे पाहिले. त्यानंतरच त्याने साकिब याला डीआरएस घेण्याचा सल्ला दिला. याचा व्हिडिओ सोशल मीडियावर व्हायरल झाला असून, आयसीसीला याबाबत जाब विचारला जात आहे. पंचांनी नाबाद ठरवल्यानंतरही साकिब आपली खेळी लांबवू शकला नाही. त्याला पुढच्या चेंडूवर लामिछाने याने बाद केले.
काय सांगतो आयसीसीचा नियम?
आयसीसीच्या नियमानुसार, डीआरएस घेताना केवळ नॉन स्ट्रायकर फलंदाजाचा सल्ला विचारात घेतला जातो. संघाचा ड्रेसिंग रूममधून अथवा सीमारेषेच्या पलीकडून कोणताही इशारा आल्यास त्या खेळाडूला या नियमाचा वापर करता येत नाही.
