IND vs ENG, T20 World Cup 2024 Semi Final : जगभरातील क्रिकेटप्रेमींच्या नजरा सध्या टी20 विश्वचषक 2024 च्या (T20 world Cup 2024) उपांत्य फेरीकडे आहेत. 27 जूनला अफगाणिस्तान विरुद्ध दक्षिण आफ्रिका यांच्यात पहिला उपांत्य फेरी सामना रंगणार आहे. तर त्याच दिवशी भारत विरुद्ध इंग्लंड (IND vs ENG) यांच्यातही अंतिम सामना गाठण्यासाठी दुसऱ्या उपांत्य सामन्याचा थरार होणार आहे. परंतु या दोन्हीही सामन्यांवर पावसाचे सावट असल्याने क्रिकेटचाहत्यांची धाकधूक वाढली आहे. त्यातही दुसऱ्या उपांत्य सामन्यासाठी आयसीसीने राखीव दिवस ठेवला नसल्याकारणाने सामना रद्द झाल्यास काय होईल? याची चिंता क्रिकेटप्रेमींना सतावत आहे.
वेस्ट इंडिजमधील गयाना येथील प्रोव्हिडन्स स्टेडियमवर भारत आणि इंग्लंड उपांत्य सामन्याची लढत होणार आहे. वेस्ट इंडिजच्या वेळेनुसार सकाळी 10:30 वाजता आणि भारतीय वेळेनूसार रात्री 8 वाजता हा सामना सुरू होणार आहे. पण यादरम्यान गयानामध्ये पावसाची दाट शक्यता आहे. हवामानाचा अंदाज वर्तवणाऱ्या एजन्सीच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, 27 जून रोजी गयानामध्ये 75 टक्के पाऊस पडण्याची शक्यता आहे. सकाळी 10 ते संध्याकाळी 6 वाजेपर्यंत पावसाची 35-68 टक्के शक्यता आहे. सामना सुरू असताना हवामान चांगले राहण्याची अपेक्षा असली तरी सामना सुरू होण्यापूर्वी पाऊस झाल्यास मैदान ओले असल्याने खेळ सुरू होण्यास उशीर होऊ शकतो.
गयानातील हवामानाचा अंदाज घेत, आयसीसीने दुसऱ्या उपांत्य सामन्यासाठी 250 मिनिटांचा म्हणजे 4 तास 10 मिनिटांचा अतिरिक्त वेळ ठेवला आहे. याचा अर्थ भारत विरुद्ध इंग्लंड सामना मध्यरात्रीनंतर आणि भारतीय वेळेनुसार शुक्रवारी सकाळपर्यंत चालू शकेल.
पावसामुळे सामना रद्द झाला तर…
यानंतरही पाऊस थांबला नाही आणि सामना रद्द झाला तर भारत थेट अंतिम फेरीत पोहोचेल. कारण भारतीय संघ सुपर 8 मध्ये गट 1 मध्ये अव्वल स्थानावर आहे. भारताने सुपर 8 मध्ये अफगाणिस्तान, बांग्लादेश आणि ऑस्ट्रेलिया तिन्ही संघांविरुद्ध सामने जिंकले आहेत. इंग्लंडचा संघ मात्र एका पराभवासह दुसऱ्या गटातून दुसऱ्या स्थानावर राहिला आहे. परिणामी पावसामुळे सामना रद्द झाल्यास भारतीय संघाला फायदा होईल.
