आयपीएल 2024 मधून चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स संघ बाहेर पडला आहे. त्यांना आपल्या अखेरच्या साखळी सामन्यात (RCBvCSK) आरसीबीकडून पराभूत व्हावे लागले. या विजयासह आरसीबी संघ सरस धावगतीच्या जोरावर प्ले ऑफ्समध्ये पोहोचला. या सामन्यानंतर सीएसकेचा माजी कर्णधार एमएस धोनी हा थेट आरसीबीच्या ड्रेसिंग रूममध्ये पोहोचला होता. तिथे त्याचे विराट कोहलीसोबत काय संभाषण झाले याबाबत माहिती आता पुढे येत आहे.
या सामन्यानंतर एमएस धोनी याने आरसीबीच्या खेळाडूंशी हस्तांदोलन केले नाही, असे बोलले जात आहे. वायरल होत असलेल्या अनेक व्हिडिओंमध्ये धोनी आरसीबीचे खेळाडू येण्याआधी निघून गेल्याचे दिसते. यामुळे त्याच्यावर टीका देखील होतेय. मात्र, धोनी तिथून थेट आरसीबीच्या ड्रेसिंग रूममध्ये पोहोचल्याचे आता स्पष्ट झाले आहे. त्याने प्रथम आरसीबीच्या सपोर्ट स्टाफसोबत हस्तांदोलन केले व त्यानंतर खेळाडूंना भेटला.
विराट कोहलीची भेट झाल्यानंतर धोनी त्याला म्हणाला,
“तुम्ही चांगले खेळला आहात. आता फायनलमध्ये पोहोचून तुम्हाला विजेते देखील बनावे लागणार आहे. बेस्ट ऑफ लक”
धोनीने यानंतर आरसीबीच्या प्रत्येक खेळाडूशी बातचीत केली व गळाभेट घेतली.
असा रंगला सामना
प्ले ऑफ्सच्या दृष्टीने हा सामना दोन्ही संघांसाठी महत्त्वाचा होता. सीएसके 18 पेक्षा कमी धावांनी पराभूत जरी झाले असते तरी त्यांना प्ले ऑफ्सचे तिकीट मिळाले असते. मात्र, आरसीबीने प्रथम फलंदाजी करताना 218 धावा उभ्या केल्या होत्या. या धावांचा पाठलाग करताना सीएसकेने चांगला प्रयत्न केला. मात्र, त्यांना 201 धावांपर्यंत पोहोचण्यात अपयश आले. यश दयाल याने अखेरच्या षटकात 17 धावांचा बचाव करून आरसीबीला प्ले ऑफ्समध्ये पोहोचवले.
