“माझा विश्वचषक चांगला गेला होता. त्यानंतर मला थोडी विश्रांती घेत माझ्या शरीरावर आणि ताकद वाढवण्यावर काम करायचे होते. मात्र, योग्य संवाद न साधला गेल्याने काही निर्णय माझ्या विरोधात गेले. असे असले तरी शेवटी बॅट माझ्या हातात असते. त्यामुळेच मी चांगली कामगिरी करू शकतो आणि ट्रॉफी जिंकू शकतो.”
तो पुढे म्हणाला,
“मला माहित होत की, मी एकदा रणजी ट्रॉफी किंवा आयपीएल जिंकली की मागच्या अनेक प्रश्नांची उत्तरे मिळतील. नशिबाने अनेक गोष्टी योग्य घडल्या. भविष्यात आणखी चांगले कामगिरी आणि ट्रॉफी आम्ही जिंकू.”
श्रेयस अय्यरने 2023 वनडे विश्वचषकात उत्कृष्ट कामगिरी केली त्यानंतर रणजी ट्रॉफी जिंकणाऱ्या मुंबई संघाचा तो सदस्य होता. तर नुकतीच त्याने कर्णधार म्हणून आयपीएल देखील आपल्या नावे केली.
