या धावांचा पाठलाग करताना जॉन्सन चार्ल्सच्या रूपाने वेस्ट इंडिजला दुसऱ्या षटकात धक्का बसला. त्यानंतर ब्रँडन किंग (34 धावा/29 चेंडू) व निकोलस पूरन (27 चेंडू/27 धावा) यांनी अर्धशतकी भागीदारी केली मात्र ते धावांचा वेग वाढवू शकले नाहीत. कर्णधार पॉवेलने देखील 15 धावा केल्या. तर, रूदरफोर्ड याने 2 धावा केल्या. संघ अडचणीत आलेला असताना रोस्टन चेस याने 27 चेंडूवर नाबाद 42 व आंद्रे रसेल याने 9 चेंडूवर नाबाद 15 धावा करत विजय साकार केला. चेस याला सामनावीर पुरस्कार दिला गेला.
