ब गटातील या सामन्यात नामीबिया संघाने नाणेफेक जिंकून प्रथम गोलंदाजीचा निर्णय घेतला. संघाचा अनुभवी वेगवान गोलंदाज रूबेन ट्रंपलमन याने पहिल्या दोन चेंडूंवरच दोन गडी गारद करत संघाला अविश्वसनीय सुरुवात करून दिली. या धक्क्यांमधून ओमान संघ सावरला नाही व नियमित अंतराने त्यांचे फलंदाज बाद होत गेले. त्यांचा संपूर्ण संघ 109 धावांवर सर्वबाद झाला. संघासाठी खालिद कैल याने सर्वाधिक 34 धावांचे योगदान दिले. नामीबिया संघासाठी ट्रंपलमन याने सर्वाधिक चार तर अनुभवी विझे याने तीन बळी मिळवले.
या धावांचा पाठलाग करताना नामीबिया संघाला पहिला धक्का लवकर बसला. मात्र, त्यानंतर इतर फलंदाजांनी उपयुक्त योगदान देत संघाला विजयाच्या दिशेने नेले. जान फ्रायलिंक याने 45 धावा केल्या. अखेरच्या षटकात त्यांना विजयासाठी फक्त पाच धावांची गरज होती. मात्र, मेहरान याने जबरदस्त गोलंदाजी करत दोन बळी मिळवताना केवळ चारच धावा दिल्या. त्यामुळे सामना सुपर ओव्हरमध्ये गेला.
सुपर ओव्हरमध्ये अनुभवी डेव्हिड विझे याने जबाबदारी आपल्या खांद्यावर घेत पहिल्या दोन चेंडूवर एक षटकार व चौकार ठोकत 10 धावा केल्या. तर, अखेरच्या दोन चेंडूंवर कर्णधार इरॅस्मस याने दोन चौकार ठोकत संघाला 21 पर्यंत मजल मारून दिली. त्यानंतर गोलंदाजी देखील विझे याने केली व फक्त दहा धावा देत संघाला संस्मरणीय विजय मिळवून दिला. त्याला या कामगिरीसाठी सामनावीर पुरस्कार देण्यात आला.
