महाराष्ट्र क्रिकेट असोसिएशनचे अध्यक्ष रोहित पवार यांची कल्पना असलेल्या या स्पर्धेला पहिल्या वर्षी तुफान प्रतिसाद लाभला होता. प्रेक्षकांना विनामूल्य प्रवेश दिल्याने अनेक प्रेक्षक मैदानापर्यंत पोहोचले होते. ऋतुराज गायकवाड, केदार जाधव व राहुल त्रिपाठी यासारख्या महाराष्ट्राच्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटपटूंनी स्पर्धेत सहभाग नोंदवला होता. यंदा देखील ऋतुराज व केदार या स्पर्धेत खेळताना दिसतील. यंदा स्पर्धेचे थेट प्रक्षेपण जिओ सिनेमा व स्पोर्ट 18 वर होईल.

मागील वर्षी अंतिम सामना खेळलेले रत्नागिरी व कोल्हापूर या वर्षी पहिला सामना खेळतील. 2 जून रोजी हा सामना खेळला जाईल. 29 सामन्यांपैकी 13 सामने हे दुपारच्या सत्रात म्हणजे दुपारी दोन वाजल्यापासून खेळले जातील. तर प्ले ऑफ्ससह इतर सामने सायंकाळी 7 वाजता सुरू होतील. अंतिम सामना 22 जून रोजी खेळला जाईल.
