डॅरेन सॅमी स्टेडियमवर खेळल्या जाणाऱ्या या सामन्यादरम्यान सेंट लुसियामधील हवामान खराब राहू शकते. पावसाची एकूण शक्यता 56 टक्के आहे. अशा परिस्थितीत जर हा सामना पावसामुळे वाहून गेला, तर दोन्ही संघांना प्रत्येकी एक गुण दिला जाईल. यानंतर भारतीय संघाचे एकूण पाच गुण होतील आणि ते उपांत्य फेरीत पोहोचतील. त्याचबरोबर ऑस्ट्रेलियाचे एकूण तीन गुण असतील. यानंतर त्यांना बांगलादेश आणि अफगाणिस्तान यांच्यातील सामन्यांवर अवलंबून राहावे लागेल.
