आतापर्यंत टी20 विश्वचषक 2026 साठी भारत, श्रीलंका, अमेरिका, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, वेस्ट इंडिज, अफगाणिस्तान आणि दक्षिण आफ्रिका पात्र ठरले आहेत. चालू हंगामाच्या साखळी फेरीअखेर सुपर आठमध्ये जाणारे उर्वरित दोन संघही पुढील हंगामाचे थेट तिकीट मिळवतील. मग शिल्लक राहिलेले 3 संघ 30 जूननंतर आयसीसीच्या टी20 क्रमवारीवरुन निश्चित होतील. सध्या क्रमवारीतील टॉप-7 मधील भारत, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, वेस्ट इंडिज आणि दक्षिण आफ्रिकेने सुपर आठ फेरी गाठत पुढील हंगामात थेट प्रवेश मिळवला आहे. त्यामुळे या संघांना वगळता पहिल्या 3 स्थानावर येणाऱ्या संघांमध्ये पाकिस्तानचा समावेश असू शकतो. पाकिस्तानचा संघ सध्या क्रमवारीत सातव्या स्थानावर आहे, जो नंतर (पात्र ठरलेल्या संघांना वगळून) तिसऱ्या स्थानावर पोहोचू शकतो. शिवाय इंग्लंड (सध्या चौथ्या स्थानी, नंतर पहिल्या स्थानी) आणि न्यूझीलंडचाही (सध्या सहाव्या स्थानी नंतर दुसऱ्या स्थानी) मार्ग मोकळा होऊ शकतो. अशाप्रकारे बाबर आझमच्या संघाला 2026 मध्ये भारतीय भूमीवर टी20 विश्वचषकाचे सामने खेळायला मिळू शकतात.
