INDW vs SAW Second ODI: भारतीय महिला संघ विरद्ध दक्षिण आफ्रिका महिला संघात बंगळुरूच्या एम चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियमवर झालेला दुसरा वनडे सामना रोमांचक राहिला. भारतीय संघाने शेवटच्या चेंडूवर ४ धावांनी हा सामना जिंकला. या रोमहर्षक विजयासह भारतीय संघाने वनडे मालिकेत २-० अशी आघाडीही घेतली आहे. भारतीय सलामीवीर स्मृती मंधानाने (Smriti Mandhana) हा सामना गाजवला. फलंदाजी करताना तिने शानदार शतक झळकावले. तर फलंदाजीनंतर गोलंदाजीतही आपली कमाल दाखवत तिने विकेट काढली.
स्मृती ही हाडाची फलंदाज आहे. फलंदाजीत कोणही तिचा पकडू शकत नाही. दक्षिण आफ्रिकेविरुद्धही स्मृतीने तिच्या बॅटची जादू दाखवली. भारताकडून प्रथम फलंदाजी करताना सलामीवीर स्मृती मंधानाने १२० चेंडूत १३६ धावांची शानदार खेळी केली. या खेळीदरम्यान तिने २ खणखणीत षटकार आणि १८ चौकार मारले. हे तिचे सलग दुसरे शतक होते. मात्र फलंदाजीनंतर स्मृतीने गोलंदाजीतही हात आजमावला. २ षटके फेकताना १३ धावा देत तिने एका फलंदाजाला पव्हेलियनचा रस्ताही दाखवला.
दक्षिण आफ्रिकेच्या डावातील पंधरावे षटक फेकताना स्मृतीने दक्षिण आफ्रिकेची क्रिकेटपटू सून लूसला यष्टीरक्षक रिचा घोषच्या हातून यष्टीमागे झेलबाद केले. लूस २३ चेंडूत १२ धावांवर बाद झाली. ही विकेट स्मृतीसाठी अविस्मरणीय ठरली. स्मृतीची ही आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटमधील पहिली विकेट होती. क्रिकेट कारकिर्दीतील पहिलीवहिली विकेट घेतल्याचा आनंद स्मृतीच्या चेहऱ्यावर दिसून आला. विकेट घेतल्यानंतर स्मृतीला आनंद गगनात मावेनासा झाला होता. तिने आनंदाने अख्खे मैदान डोक्यावर घेतले.

स्मृतीव्यतिरिक्त भारताची गोलंदाज दीप्ती शर्मा आणि पूजा वस्त्राकार यांनीही प्रत्येकी २ विकेट्स काढल्या. पूजा वस्त्राकारच्या गोलंदाजीमुळे भारताने हातून निसटता सामना जिंकला. अखेरच्या चेंडूवर सहा धावांची आवश्यकता असताना दक्षिण आफ्रिकेची कर्णधार लॉरा वॉल्वर्ट ही एकही धाव काढण्यात यशस्वी ठरली नाही. अखेरच्या षटकात 11 धावांचा बचाव करणारी पुजा वस्त्राकर गेमचेंजर ठरली. तिने तिसऱ्या आणि चौथ्या चेंडूवर महत्त्वपूर्ण विकेट्स काढल्या.
