फ्लोरिडा येथील लॉडरहिल मैदानावर हा सामना होणार होता. मात्र, जोरदार पावसामुळे खराब झालेल्या या मैदानाला अखेरपर्यंत पूर्ववत करण्यात मैदान कर्मचाऱ्यांना अपयश आले. शुक्रवारी (14 जून) यूएसए आणि आयर्लंड यांच्यातील सामना देखील याच कारणाने रद्द करण्यात आलेला.
भारतीय संघाने या सामन्यात एक गुण मिळवत आपल्या गटात सर्वाधिक सात गुण घेत पहिले स्थान पटकावले. तर, युएसए संघाने पाच गुण घेत सुपर 8 मध्ये प्रवेश केला. भारतीय संघाचा सुपर 8 मध्ये अ गटात समावेश आहे. या गटात भारतासह ऑस्ट्रेलिया व अफगाणिस्तान संघाने जागा निश्चित केली आहे. ड गटात दुसऱ्या स्थानी राहणारा संघ देखील याच गटात प्रवेश करेल. बांगलादेश व नेदरलँड्स या स्थानासाठी स्पर्धा करताना दिसत आहेत.
