या स्पर्धेत आतापर्यंत 26 साखळी फेरी सामने खेळले गेले आहेत, आता आणखी 14 सामने उरले आहेत. यांपैकी फ्लोरिडामध्ये तीन साखळी सामने खेळले जातील, ज्यामध्ये भारत विरुद्ध कॅनडा सामन्याचाही समावेश आहे. फ्लोरिडामध्ये टी20 विश्वचषकाचे एकूण चार सामने झाले. येथे पहिला सामना 12 जून रोजी श्रीलंका आणि नेपाळ यांच्यात होणार होता, जो पावसामुळे नाणेफेक न होता रद्द करण्यात आला. येथे अजून तीन सामने खेळायचे आहेत.
येथे खेळल्या जाणाऱ्या उर्वरित तीन सामन्यांना पावसाचा फटका बसू शकतो. फ्लोरिडा येथील सेंट्रल ब्रॉवर्ड रिजनल पार्क स्टेडियम टर्फ मैदानावर उर्वरित तीन सामने यूएसए विरुद्ध आयर्लंड (14 जून), भारत विरुद्ध कॅनडा (15 जून) आणि पाकिस्तान विरुद्ध आयर्लंड (16 जून) हे असतील. तिन्ही सामने भारतीय वेळेनुसार रात्री 8 वाजता सुरू होतील.

लक्षात घेण्यासारखी गोष्ट म्हणजे फ्लोरिडाच्या मियामीमध्ये वादळ आले होते, त्यानंतर पुरासारखी परिस्थिती निर्माण झाली आहे. मुसळधार पावसामुळे येथील समस्या वाढत आहेत. मुसळधार पावसानंतर येथील रस्ते पाण्याने तुंबले आहेत, याचे व्हिडिओ सोशल मीडियावर मोठ्या प्रमाणात व्हायरल होत आहेत. आता उर्वरित तीन सामन्यांपैकी किती सामने येथे पूर्ण होतात? हे पाहणे उत्सुकतेचे ठरणार आहे. भारतीय संघ आधीच सुपर-8 साठी पात्र ठरला आहे. अशा परिस्थितीत, फ्लोरिडामध्ये कॅनडाविरुद्ध खेळला जाणारा भारताचा सामना पावसामुळे रद्द झाला, तरी संघाला पात्रतेशी संबंधित कोणतीही अडचण येणार नाही. मात्र इतर संघांचे सुपर आठ फेरीचे गणित मात्र बिगढू शकते.
