IPL 2024 Qualifier 2| आयपीएल 2024 च्या दुसऱ्या क्वालिफायर सामन्यात राजस्थान रॉयल्स व सनरायझर्स हैदराबाद (RRvSRH) समोरासमोर उभे ठाकले होते. चेन्नईच्या चेपॉक स्टेडियमवर झालेल्या या सामन्यात सनरायझर्सने राजस्थान समोर 176 धावांचे आव्हान ठेवले होते. या धावांचा पाठलाग करताना राजस्थानच्या फलंदाजांनी हाराकिरी केली. हैदराबादच्या सर्व कामचलाऊ फिरकी गोलंदाजांनी जबरदस्त गोलंदाजी करत राजस्थानला 139 धावांवर रोखले. यासह सनरायझर्सने स्पर्धेच्या अंतिम फेरीत प्रवेश केला.
चेपॉक स्टेडियमवर खेळल्या गेलेल्या सामन्यात राजस्थानने नाणेफेक जिंकत प्रथम गोलंदाजीचा निर्णय घेतला. त्यांच्या सर्वच गोलंदाजांनी टिच्चून गोलंदाजी करत हा निर्णय सार्थ ठरवला. ट्रेंट बोल्ट याने पावर प्ले मध्येच तीन फलंदाजांना बाद केले. मधल्या षटकात आवेश खान यांनी तीन तर संदीप शर्मा याने दोन फलंदाजांना तंबूचा रस्ता दाखवला. हैदराबाद संघासाठी केवळ हेन्रिक क्लासेन अर्धशतक झळकावू शकला. तर राहुल त्रिपाठीने 37 धावांचे योगदान दिले.
या आव्हानाचा पाठलाग करताना राजस्थान संघाला चांगली सुरुवात मिळाली होती. यशस्वी जयस्वाल याने 21 चेंडूंमध्ये आक्रमक 42 धावा केल्या. मात्र, हैदराबादचे कामचलाऊ फिरकी गोलंदाज अभिषेक शर्मा व शहाबाझ अहमद गोलंदाजीला आल्यानंतर राजस्थानची फलंदाजी ढेपाळली. अहमद याने फक्त 23 धावांमध्ये तिघांना तर अभिषेकने दोघांना बाद केले. अखेर ध्रुव जुरेल याने एकाकी झुंज देत अर्धशतक पूर्ण केले. मात्र, तो देखील संघाचा नामुष्कीजनक पराभव टाळू शकला नाही. रविवारी (26 मे) केकेआर व सनरायझर्स हैदराबाद अंतिम सामन्यात भिडतील.
