Indian Cricketer Shardul Thakur Surgery|सध्या भारतीय क्रिकेट संघ (Indian Cricket Team) युएसएमध्ये टी20 विश्वचषक (T20 World Cup 2024) खेळत आहे. भारतीय संघ या विश्वचषकात व्यस्त असतानाच अष्टपैलू शार्दुल ठाकूर (Shardul Thakur) याच्या पायावर सर्जरी (Shardul Thakur Surgery) झाली आहे. त्याने सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट करत याबद्दल माहिती दिली.
विश्वचषक संघात संधी न मिळालेल्या शार्दुल याने यादरम्यान आपल्या पायाची सर्जरी करून घेतली. त्याला या वर्षाच्या सुरुवातीला दक्षिण आफ्रिका दौऱ्यावर असताना उजव्या पायाच्या घोट्याला दुखापत झाली होती. त्यामुळे तो रणजी ट्रॉफीतील काही सामने खेळू शकला नव्हता. त्यानंतर त्याने पुन्हा रणजी ट्रॉफी सेमी फायनल- फायनल व आयपीएल खेळली होती. विश्वचषक संघात निवड न झाल्यानंतर त्याने बीसीसीआयला रिकव्हरीसाठी व सर्जरीसाठी वेळ हवा असल्याचे सांगितलेले.

आपल्या सर्जरीचे फोटो पोस्ट करताना त्याने लिहिले, ‘ऑपरेटेड सक्सेसफुली जून 2024 टू मे 2019’ शार्दुल हा यापूर्वी देखील अनेकदा दुखापतीने त्रस्त राहिला आहे. त्याने 2019 मध्ये देखील याच पायाची सर्जरी केली होती. तसेच 2021 मध्ये त्याच्या कमरेला दुखापत झालेली.
शार्दुल यावर्षी आयपीएलमध्ये देखील आपली छाप पाडण्यात अपयशी ठरलेला. त्याने हंगामात सीएसकेसाठी फक्त नऊ सामने खेळले. यामध्ये त्याने फक्त पाच बळी मिळवलेले. तर त्याचा इकॉनोमी रेट देखील दहाच्या आसपास होता. दुसरीकडे रणजी ट्रॉफीमध्ये मात्र त्याने मुंबईसाठी सेमी फायनलमध्ये सामना जिंकून देणारी कामगिरी केलेली.
