MPL 2024|एमपीएल 2024 मध्ये शुक्रवारी (14 जून) छत्रपती संभाजी किंग्स व ईगल नाशिक टायटन्स (CSK v ENT) सामना खेळला गेला. सलग दुसऱ्या दिवशी मोठ्या धावसंख्येच्या झालेल्या या सामन्यात सीएसकेने 213 धावांचा यशस्वी पाठलाग केला. नाशिक संघासाठी मंदार भंडारी (Mandar Bhandari) याने ठोकलेल्या शतकानंतर सीएसकेसाठी कर्णधार मुर्तझा ट्रंकवाला (Murtaza Trunkwala) याने वेगवान शतक करत संघाला विजय मिळवून दिला.
एमसीए स्टेडियम (MCA Stadium) येथे झालेल्या या सामन्यात नाशिक संघाने प्रथम फलंदाजी केली. मात्र, मागील सामन्यात 97 धावांची खेळी करणारा अर्शिन कुलकर्णी खाते खोलू शकला नाही. त्यानंतर आलेला साहिल पाररख केवळ 17 धावा करू शकला. मात्र, यानंतर मंदार भंडारी व कौशल तांबे ही जोडी जमली. दोघांनी सीएसकेच्या गोलंदाजांचा समाचार घेत 129 धावांची शानदार भागीदारी केली. तांबे यांनी 46 धावा केल्या. फिनिशर म्हणून नाव कमावलेल्या धनराज शिंदे याने पुन्हा एकदा तुफान फटकेबाजी करत 12 चेंडूंमध्ये नाबाद 30 धावा केल्या. दुसरीकडे मंदार भंडारी आणि अखेरपर्यंत नाबाद राहत 58 चेंडूत 102 धावांची खेळी केली (Mandar Bhandari Century). यामध्ये 6 चौकार व 7 षटकारांचा समावेश होता.
विजयासाठी मिळालेल्या 213 धावांचा पाठलाग करताना सीएसके संघाला कर्णधार मुर्तझा ट्रंकवाला व ऑरेंज कॅप शर्यतीत आघाडीवर असलेल्या ओम भोसले यांनी वेगवान सुरुवात दिली. दोघांनी 13.5 षटकांत 144 धावा जोडल्या. ओमने 59 धावा कुटल्या. त्यानंतर आलेला ओंकार खाटपे केवळ 13 धावांचे योगदान देऊ शकला. दुसऱ्या बाजूने मात्र मूर्तझा याने आपले पहिले एमपीएल शतक पूर्ण केले. अखेरच्या षटकातील पहिल्या चेंडूवर बाद होण्यापूर्वी त्याने 63 चेंडूवर 122 धावा काढल्या (Murtaza Trunkwala Century). यात 11 चौकार व 7 षटकार सामील होते. पाच चेंडूंमध्ये विजयासाठी 14 धावा आवश्यक असताना सौरभ नवले व राजवर्धन हंगरगेकर यांनी प्रत्येकी एक षटकार ठोकत एक चेंडू राखून संघाला विजय मिळवून दिला.
